Job summary

Cape Cod Imaging Services, LLC seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a per diem role in our operating rooms. You will prepare the sterile field, assemble instruments, and support the surgeon to maintain safety and efficiency during procedures.

This position emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards. Work hours are day-time, Monday through Friday, with no holidays, nights, or on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited surgical technician program or equivalent from an accredited school is required.
• Certification (CST) required within 1 year of program completion.
• Mass experience prior to July 2013.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain an organizational culture that helps make us the best place to work and receive care.
• Actively participate in staff meetings, department meetings, in-services, and educational requirements.
• Select and check case carts and preference cards for correct instrument pans, packs, and sterile supplies to facilitate timely start times.
• Anticipate needs for special equipment and supplies before the procedure and request from the circulating nurse.
• Ensure instruments and equipment are in safe working order and handle sterile field equipment properly.
• Prepare and maintain a safe patient care environment within the OR suite and maintain sterile technique during procedures.
• Assist with decontamination, cleaning, and sterilization of equipment and instruments after cases.
• Pass instruments and supplies during procedures and support assembly for future instrumentation needs.
