Job summary

Toms River Surgery Center, part of United Surgical Partners International, Inc (USPI), seeks a per diem Certified Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team. The CST scrubs for procedures, maintains sterility, and assists with instrument prep while supporting physicians and staff.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with a Surgical Technician Program, BLS certification, and 1+ year of CST experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program.
• BLS certification.
• 1+ years of Surgical Tech experience.
• Must be a Certified Surgical Tech.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient.
• Teamwork and strong communication to collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs for surgical procedures and maintain a sterile field.
• Prepare supplies, instruments, and equipment for procedures.
• Support the surgical team and participate in quality improvement activities.
