Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Civilian or Military Operating Room Technologist/Surgical Technologist program.
• BLS Certification required within 3 months of entering position.
• Must maintain national certification within 12 months of graduation.

Responsibilities

• Set up surgical instruments and equipment before the operation.
• Assist the surgical team during procedures.
• Count sponges and instruments before and after operation.

Skills

Ability to read, write and communicate in English

Understanding of sterilization methods

Assisting in turnover and restocking

Education

Graduate of Accredited Operating Room Technologist program
