Atlantic Health Chilton Medical Center in Pompton Plains, NJ is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for Per Diem to support the operating room team. You will function as scrub tech under RN supervision, prepare instrumentation, and maintain a sterile field throughout procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Surgical Technology or related field.
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program preferred.
• Certification through NCCT or NBSTSA required.
• 1-2 years of hospital scrub tech experience preferred.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Checks and gathers instruments for each case using surgeon's preference card.
• Maintains sterile field and corrects breaks in technique immediately.
• Performs surgical scrub, gowning and gloving for self and team.
• Arranges instruments and supplies for accurate counts after procedures.
• Assists circulating nurses with counts of sponges, needles, and tools.
• Uses instruments correctly and assists with draping technique.
• Passes instruments safely to the surgeon and team.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
