Job summary

Mercy Health in Ohio seeks a Stepdown RN for per diem shifts to deliver direct patient care using the nursing process. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care with the interdisciplinary team, while educating patients and families and ensuring safety.

Responsibilities include medication administration, care coordination across departments, and participation in quality and safety programs. Candidates should have active RN licensure and BLS/ACLS as applicable, with EPIC EHR experience

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state they are working or covered by compact.
• BLS or ACLS preferred; ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
• 1 year RN experience (new grads accepted); acute care experience preferred.
• EPIC EHR training experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment and plans of care.
• Administers medications safely per policy and state law.
• Coordinates patient care with health team members and families.
• Participates in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Supports care across life span using evidence-based practice.
