Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Per diem Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality patient care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team at our Youngstown, Ohio facilities.

Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, medication administration, and ongoing teaching for patients and families. Strong clinical judgment and communication are essential, with a focus on safety and patient advocacy.

Qualifications

• RN license in state of practice or compact (required).
• BLS; ACLS preferred at hire; ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• CCRN or PCCN preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes data and plans care.
• Administers medications safely per policy and procedure.
• Acts as care coordination point across hospital departments.
• Supports patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and family in care planning.
• Care for patients with complex multisystem conditions.
