Mercy Health in Youngstown, OH seeks a Per diem Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN to provide exceptional nursing care on a step-down unit. This position requires working 24 hours within a six-week period and offers self-scheduling in a faith-based, patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating care between Med-Surg and ICU, assessing patient status, and developing care plans. RN licensure is required; BSN is preferred, with BLS (ACLS preferred; ACLS within 6 months).

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the state (or RN applicant)
• BLS required (ACLS preferred; ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
• Experience as an LPN or Patient Care Tech/CNA preferred

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement care plans
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments and evaluate treatment effectiveness
• Serve as point of contact for care coordination across departments
• Administer medications safely per organization policies
• Engage in quality improvement to enhance patient safety and outcomes
