Job summary

PACS is seeking a Staff Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate residents, develop treatment plans, and coordinate care with the health team. The role includes supervising CFY students and providing staff education to ensure quality services.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, with preference for a Master’s or Doctorate, and licensure in the state. Proficiency with Net Health and Point Click Care is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• Master’s or Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology preferred.
• Proficient with electronic medical records (Net Health, Point Click Care).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on home programs and safety techniques.
• Supervise CFY Speech Clinical Fellows and students as applicable.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in compliance with policies and payer requirements.
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to coordinate care.
