Job summary

Providence Health and Services seeks a per diem, part-time RN with a focus on wound ostomy care at Providence Portland Medical Center. You will develop individualized care plans, educate patients and staff, and deliver inpatient and outpatient services within a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes clinical excellence and compassionate care, requiring a nursing degree, Oregon RN license, and CWON certification or progress toward it within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
• Oregon RN License required upon hire.
• BLS certification – American Heart Association upon hire.
• CWON certification or CWON to be obtained within 12 months of hire.
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience, preferably with wound/ostomy care.

Responsibilities

• Craft personalized wound, ostomy, and skin care plans from hospital to home.
• Educate patients and empower them to manage their care.
• Train and support nursing staff in wound, ostomy, and continence skin care best practices.
• Lead quarterly Skin Prevalence studies and support Skin Care Resource Nurse team.
• Provide outpatient ostomy clinic services and follow-up care.
