Job summary

Providence Health and Services is seeking an RN Wound Ostomy Per Diem on the Day shift at Providence Portland Medical Center. This role involves direct patient care, clinical consultation, education, and leadership within a multidisciplinary team.

You will craft individualized wound, ostomy, and skin care plans, educate patients, and train staff in best practices. Requires an RN license in Oregon, CWON or CWON-in-12-months, and 2 years acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.
• Oregon RN license required upon hire.
• Current BLS certification by the American Heart Association.
• CWON certification or obtain within 12 months of hire.
• Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience; wound/ostomy care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop personalized wound, ostomy, and skin care plans for patients.
• Educate patients to manage their care post-discharge.
• Train and support nursing staff in wound ostomy best practices.
• Lead quarterly Skin Prevalence studies and support Skin Care Resource Nurse team.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient services including ostomy clinic follow-up.
