Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical Surgical Unit IV at Jersey City Medical Center. This per diem Day shift role offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to provide high-quality patient care within a collaborative, safety‑focused environment.

NJ RN licensure, BLS, EPIC proficiency, and a minimum of two years of RN experience are expected, with a Bachelor's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• Minimum of two years of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Administer safe, evidence-based medications and treatments.
• Partner with physicians and advanced providers for timely care decisions.
• Provide clear, compassionate education to patients and families.
• Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to support smooth transitions of care.
• Contribute to a highly collaborative team environment and ongoing professional growth.
