Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Jersey City Medical Center Medical Surgical Unit IV. This per diem, day shift role offers a competitive hourly wage and opportunities for clinical growth within a supportive team.

Qualified candidates hold an active New Jersey RN license (or multi-state with NJ endorsement) and BLS certification; BSN is preferred and at least two years of RN experience is ideal. Epic EMR experience is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Active NJ RN license (or multi-state with NJ endorsement)
• Current BLS certification required
• BSN preferred; two years RN experience advantageous

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments and hands-on care
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers to ensure timely, well-coordinated care decisions
• Educate patients and families to ensure understanding and preparation for next steps
• Document accurately in EMR to promote continuity and safety
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to support smooth transitions of care
• Contribute to a collaborative team culture with shared accountability
• Pursue continuing education and clinical ladder opportunities for growth
