Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health's Jersey City Medical Center seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for Medical Surgical/Telemetry. This per diem day shift role supports high-quality patient care in a collaborative, safety-focused environment.

You will conduct comprehensive assessments, administer medications, document in EPIC, and participate in rounds with physicians and the care team. NJ RN license and BLS are required; Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

Active New Jersey RN license in good standing or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement and a current BLS certification.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred; prior patient care experience and EMR experience (EPIC) are valued.
Experience in medical/surgical or telemetry settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes to intervene early.
Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care.
Serve as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers to support timely care decisions.
Provide clear, compassionate education to patients and families.
Ensure accurate documentation in the EMR to promote continuity and safety.
Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with the care team.
