RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Per Diem Night Shift Registered Nurse for the Medical-Surgical Unit-IV at the Main Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. The role involves assessments, medication administration, and collaboration with the care team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds an active NJ RN license, BLS, and at least 1 year of acute care experience; BSN is preferred. ACLS/NB Certification is a plus, with a focus on teamwork and evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing strongly preferred or to be completed within 5 years of hire.
• ACLS and National Board Certification preferred or within 6 months of employment.
• 1 year of acute care RN experience required; 2-3 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Administer safe, evidence-based medications and treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced practitioners to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families to support informed decision-making.
• Document accurately in the EMR to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care transitions.
• Engage in a collaborative team environment and pursue ongoing professional development.
