Job summary

Karing Hearts Home Health is seeking a compassionate Per Diem RN to join our home infusion team in Santa Barbara, CA. You will administer IV therapies, assess patients, and support families in their own homes.

The role offers flexible per diem scheduling, opportunities for on-call coverage, and collaboration with physicians, pharmacists, and the care team to ensure safe, high-quality infusion care. Active CA RN license and 1–2 years IV/infusion preferred.

Qualifications

• Active California RN license in good standing.
• 1–2 years IV/infusion therapy or home health preferred.
• Proficiency with CVADs and infusion pump operation.
• Strong clinical assessment and patient education abilities.
• Reliable transportation and CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Administer IV infusion therapies in patients' homes.
• Assess patients and monitor responses to treatments.
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapy and safety.
• Manage IV access devices including PICCs and ports.
• Document care and treatment plans per regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with physicians, pharmacists, and care team.
• Respond to on-call needs on a per diem schedule.

Karing Hearts Home Health is looking for a compassionate and skilled Per Diem RN to join our Home Infusion team in beautiful Santa Barbara, CA. Responsibilities:

• Administer IV infusion therapies including antibiotics, TPN, hydration, and specialty medications in patients' homes
• Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor responses to infusion treatments
• Educate patients and caregivers on infusion therapy, medication management, and safety protocols
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and manage IV access devices including PICCs, ports, and central lines
• Accurately document patient care, clinical notes, and treatment plans in compliance with regulatory standards
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and the care team to coordinate and optimize patient outcomes
• Respond to patient concerns and on-call needs as required per diem schedule

Requirements:

• Active California RN license in good standing
• Minimum 1-2 years of IV/infusion therapy or home health nursing experience preferred
• Proficiency in peripheral and central venous access, PICC line care, and infusion pump operation
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
• Valid California driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance
• CPR/BLS certification required
• Ability to work independently with a flexible, per diem schedule
