Job summary

Adventist HealthCare, based in Maryland, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for Float Pool II. The role is per diem with a 24-hour work week, offering a $60/hour rate and day shifts.

The position emphasizes high-quality, compassionate patient care, mentorship, and adherence to safety and evidence-based practice. Responsibilities include planning care, monitoring patient conditions, guiding staff, and participating in quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Maryland state nursing license required.
• Active BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Passing NCLEX examination completed.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
• Identify changes in patient condition and initiate corrective action.
• Mentor students, colleagues and team members in patient-centered care.
• Conduct purposeful rounding from patient and family perspective.
• Apply literature findings to nursing practice and care delivery.
• Participate in quality improvement and evidence-based practice changes.
