Job summary

Adventist HealthCare—Shady Grove Medical Center in Maryland seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for Float Pool Level II. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, document outcomes, delegate tasks, and mentor staff while contributing to quality initiatives.

The role requires an accredited nursing degree, MD RN license, BLS, and possible ACLS/PALS/NRP. Per diem schedule, 24 hrs/week, days, at $60/hour, with no benefits under per diem terms.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• 1 year of experience in relevant clinical area.
• Current Maryland State nursing license.
• BLS certification required (AHA).
• ACLS/PALS/NRP as required by specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate patient care at the bedside.
• Document patient care and outcomes electronically.
• Delegate tasks to non-licensed personnel.
• Serve as a preceptor or mentor for new staff, externs or students.
• Participate in unit quality initiatives and performance improvement.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team in patient care planning.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and growth.
