Job summary

Shady Grove Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare in Maryland, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for our Float Pool Level II. The role is per diem (24 hours/week, 2x12-hour shifts, days) and requires bedside nursing, collaboration with the care team, and mentoring new staff.

The position is non-benefits eligible, non-exempt under FLSA, with a focus on quality care, professional development, and adherence to the organization's mission of extending God's care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• 1 year of experience in relevant clinical area.
• Current Maryland State nursing license.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care at the bedside.
• Document patient care and outcomes electronically.
• Delegate tasks to non-licensed personnel.
• Serve as preceptor or mentor for new staff.
• Participate in unit quality initiatives.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team in patient care planning.
• Pursue professional development and growth.
