RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a per diem RN for the Bone Marrow Transplant Oncology Unit MCC-10 at RWJ University Hospital New Brunswick. The role emphasizes patient-centered care in a 31-bed unit with CAR-T, BMT, and cell therapies, across day shifts in New Jersey.

The ideal candidate holds an active NJ RN license with BLS, with 1+ year acute care experience. BSN preferred; NB Certification, ACLS, and Oncology/BMTU certs favored. EMR experience (EPIC) is essential for charting and coordination.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and a current American Heart Association BLS Certification with at least 1 year of acute care RN experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing strongly preferred or must be completed within 5 years of hire.
• National Board Certification and ACLS Certification preferred or must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
• Oncology or BMTU Certification highly preferred.
• Comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes, intervening early and advocating for patients.
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care grounded in strong clinical judgment.
• Serve as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers, offering insight for timely, coordinated care decisions.
• Provide clear, compassionate education to patients and families so they feel informed and supported.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the EMR to promote continuity and patient safety.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate to drive seamless transitions of care.
