RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an RN for per diem shifts at Jersey City Medical Center in the Colony Plaza Oncology department. The role involves delivering high-quality oncology nursing care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and supporting patient education and comfort.

Applicants must hold an active NJ RN license or valid multistate license with NJ endorsement, BLS and ACLS within 6 months, and oncology/acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification and ACLS certification required within 6 months from date of hire.
• ONS/ONC certification recommended.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• Minimum three years of recent acute care hospital experience; Oncology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care.
• Collaborate with physicians and providers to coordinate timely care decisions.
• Educate patients and families and support transitions of care.
• Document accurately in the EMR to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and team-based care.
