Job summary

Rotech Healthcare seeks qualified Respiratory Therapists to educate, train and monitor patients using ventilators, PAP therapy, home oxygen and other equipment. You will assess patient needs and communicate findings to the physician, ensuring care tailored to each condition.

PRN positions allow scheduling flexibility; you are paid per set-up for each service performed, with rates ranging from $5.00 to $100.00 per service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Credentials as a respiratory therapist (RRT/CRT) preferred but other medical credentials may be acceptable, depending on state licensure.
• Must be licensed in primary state of home office and provide license copy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a complete listing of current respiratory patients.
• Provide initial and ongoing phone contacts with patients per policy.
• Conduct in-home visits and patient assessments per physician order.
• Educate patients on equipment use, maintenance, and therapy benefits.
• Set up and monitor high-tech respiratory equipment (ventilators, PAP, oxygen).
• Document all services per policies and procedures.
• Answer on-call during non-business hours per policy.
