Job summary

Rotech Healthcare Inc. seeks qualified Respiratory Therapists to educate, train and monitor patients using ventilators and home oxygen. You will assess patient needs, document findings and communicate with physicians to ensure individualized care.

PRN/per diem roles offer flexible scheduling and per‑set‑up pay. Responsibilities include in-home visits, equipment setup and ongoing monitoring, plus on-call coverage. Must have strong English communication, confidentiality and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• RRT/CRT credentials preferred; other medical credentials may be acceptable by state laws.
• Licensed in primary state of home office and provide license copy.
• Valid driver’s license if required by service area.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current respiratory patient listings and records.
• Provide initial and ongoing phone contacts with patients per policy.
• Conduct in-home visits to patients and assess needs per physician order.
• Educate patients on equipment use, maintenance and treatment benefits.
• Set up and monitor high-tech respiratory equipment and adjust settings as needed.
• Document all services and assume on-call responsibilities as required.
