PRN positions pay per set-up, with rates ranging from $5 to $100 per service. The role includes in-home visits, phone contacts, and documentation per policy, with after-hours on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Credentials as RRT/CRT preferred but other medical credentials may be acceptable depending on state licensure laws.
• Must be licensed in primary state of home office and provide license copy.
• May be required to obtain license in neighboring states.
• Completion of an accredited respiratory care program preferred.
• Nursing or other paramedical training may be acceptable depending on state licensure laws.
• One year related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educate, train and monitor patients using ventilators, PAP therapy and home oxygen.
• Conduct patient assessments and communicate findings to physician.
• Provide in-home visits and ongoing phone contacts with patients.
• Set up and monitor high-technology respiratory equipment.
• Maintain documentation of services per policies.
• Participate in on-call phone consultations after hours.
• Assist orientation and training of other personnel as directed.
