Job summary

Rotech Healthcare Inc. seeks qualified Respiratory Therapists (RRT/CRT/RN) to educate, train and monitor patients using ventilators, PAP therapy and home oxygen. You will assess patient needs and communicate findings to the physician, ensuring care tailored to each condition.

PRN positions let you create a flexible schedule by accepting set-ups per week. Pay ranges from $5.00 to $100.00 per service, with varied opportunities based on demand and geography.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Credentials as a respiratory therapist (RRT/CRT) preferred but other medical credentials may be acceptable depending on state licensure.
• Must be licensed in primary state of home office as required by state law.
• May be required to obtain license in neighboring states as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a complete listing of current respiratory patients.
• Provide initial and ongoing phone contacts with all respiratory patients.
• Perform in-home visits to patients as required by policy.
• Conduct patient assessments per physician orders and policy.
• Provide patient education on equipment use, safety and adherence.
• Set up and monitor respiratory equipment including ventilators and monitors.
• Document all services per policy and maintain records.
• Assume on-call responsibilities for phone consultations.
• Adjust ventilator settings per patient assessment and policy.
• Support orientation and training of other personnel.
• Perform duties as required by licensure laws.
