Job summary

Coshocton Regional Medical Center, part of the Prime Healthcare Foundation, is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner II (RCP II) for per diem shifts in Coshocton, Ohio. The role focuses on therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care with leadership responsibilities possible during shifts.

Required licensure as an RCP and NBRC RRT or completion within 3 months, plus BLS and ACLS on hire and maintained; PALS on hire or within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
• Current NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or obtained within three months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certified from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) upon hire and maintain current.
• Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the AHA or ARC certification upon hire and maintain current.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the AHA certification upon hire and maintain current or obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program certificate is preferred.
• Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
• Two years of acute care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction and authorization of the medical director and cardiopulmonary director or manager, the Respiratory Care Practitioner II (RCP II) is responsible for performing respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the ordering provider.
• Emphasis will be toward the assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation of care, with consideration of age and population specific needs and requirements of the patient.
• May on occasion be assigned/identified as Lead RCP, having responsibility for the section or department during their shift.

Education

State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license

NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certificate preferred

Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care preferred
