Job summary

Saint Clare's Health, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner I for night shifts on a per diem basis at its facilities in New Jersey. The role emphasizes assessment, planning, and documentation of respiratory care as ordered by physicians.

Required licenses include RCP and NBRC CRT, with BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Two years acute care experience preferred; associate/bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
• Current Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) NBRC required. Hired before March 2026,are exempt
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certified from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) upon hire and maintain current.
• Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the AHA or ARC certification within 60 days of hire and maintain current.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the AHA certification within 60 days of hire and maintain current.
• Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two (2) years of acute care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician, with emphasis on assessment, planning, implementation and documentation of care.
• In the absence of a supervisor, may be identified as Lead RCP, with responsibility for the section during the shift.
