Job summary

Prime Healthcare, Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME, is seeking an RCP II for per diem respiratory therapy coverage. Responsibilities include performing respiratory therapies and diagnostics as ordered, with lead duties during shifts when supervision is unavailable.

Qualifications include current RCP license, NBRC RRT or eligibility within 3 months, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and preferred neonatal resuscitation, plus 2 years of acute care experience or higher degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
• Current NBRC RRT certification or to be obtained within three months of hire.
• BLS certification upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification upon hire and maintained.
• PALS certification upon hire and maintained or obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program preferred.
• Associate Degree or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Two years of acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician.
• Assist in assessment, planning, implementation and documentation of care with patient age/population considerations.
• May be identified as Lead RCP during shifts in absence of supervision.
