Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island in Lake Success, NY seeks a Per Diem Pulmonary Function Technologist to perform lung function tests including spirometry, lung volumes, DLCO and methacholine challenges with daily QA.

This temporary role supports the Respiratory Therapy team; requires an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy, NBRC credential and NY license or CPFT, plus strong computer and communication skills; per diem schedule.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy; NBRC credentials and NY license.
• Experience in Pulmonary Function Lab preferred.
• Strong Windows computer skills and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Performs other duties as assigned
• Schedules patients and performs FVL, FVC, Lung Volumes, DLCO, MVV as required
• Generates paperwork to interpret Pulmonary Function Tests and reviews folders daily
• Performs Methacholine Challenge testing and coordinates with Pharmacy for Provocholine use
