Job summary

NYU Grossman School of Medicine is part of NYU Langone Health. We seek a Per Diem Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (FGP) to join the Manhattan float pool, coordinating and performing pulmonary function testing and supervising staff as needed.

The candidate will perform CP testing, manage equipment, and schedule procedures while meeting NYS licensing requirements. This is a per diem position with benefits and inclusion in a comprehensive wellness program.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent in respiratory care as recognized by NYS is required.
• CPFT certification within a year of hire is required.
• Computer competency with Windows-based pulmonary function software programs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs Pulmonary Function Testing including FVL, FVC, lung volumes, DLCO, MVV as required.
• Performs Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing.
• Maintains testing equipment and generates paperwork for interpretation of tests.
• Performs Methacholine Challenges and schedules patients for optimal utilization.
