Job summary

NYU Langone Health in New York, NY seeks a Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist to join the Respiratory Therapy team, delivering prescribed pulmonary function testing and supervising staff. You will calibrate and operate laboratory equipment, assess patients, and ensure quality control while educating staff and patients.

Requirements include an Associate’s Degree in respiratory care, NYS license (CPFT preferred or able to obtain), and strong communication; experience with Windows-based PFT

Qualifications

• Associate degree in respiratory care required (NYS Board recognition).
• CPFT certification preferred or obtainable within a year of hire.
• CRT/National Board respiratory care certification.
• Basic computer skills and Windows-based PFT software proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Performs and coordinates prescribed pulmonary function testing.
• Supervises laboratory staff and provides instruction to staff and patients.
• Maintains calibration and operation of pulmonary function equipment.
