Job summary

Universal Health Services' Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV is seeking a per diem Physical Therapist to evaluate, plan and administer treatment for adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, aiming to maximize independence and recovery. Qualifications

• Current State Physical Therapy Licensure.
• Three (3) or more years of previous experience in all aspects of physical therapy, preferred.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients and develops treatment plans and goals, monitors progress and modifies plans as needed.
• Reports progress to staff, patients and family; participates in care conferences and rounds; submits evaluations and discharge recommendations.
• Maintains documentation for each patient to ensure communication with physicians and third-party payers.
• Works collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team; supervises assigned staff, students or volunteers; acts as a resource to staff.
• Schedules and coordinates patient care; provides various therapeutic interventions to aid discharge and continuity of care; communicates with physicians and therapy staff.
• Plans and participates in education to enhance clinical skills; assists in orientation and training of staff and development of programs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
