Job summary

Universal Health Services (UHS) is seeking a per diem Physical Therapist in Reno for our NEW 22-bed Acute Rehab Hospital. The PT will evaluate and plan therapy, direct modalities, and coordinate care with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.

The role requires state licensure, 3+ years of PT experience, and current BLS. Excellent benefits and opportunities for professional growth are provided within UHS and its subsidiaries.

Qualifications

• Current State Physical Therapy Licensure.
• Three (3) or more years of previous experience in all aspects of physical therapy (preferred).
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise the therapy department staff and assistants.
• Observe and evaluate treatment effects; suggest changes to physicians.
• Assess patients for therapy needs and reassess per policy across adult and geriatric populations.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, problem solving, and independent work.
• Know and apply professional practice and regulatory requirements.
• Manage demanding workloads and prioritize tasks to meet timelines and requirements.
• Demonstrate proficiency with required technology and documentation systems.
• Communicate effectively with patients and team; foster teamwork and customer service.
• Retain and apply new knowledge and stay current with practice development.
