Job summary

NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital seeks a Per Diem Physical Therapist to evaluate patient needs and deliver medically prescribed therapy within a supervised rehabilitation program. You will participate in clinical education and support student development, providing care with a focus on patient outcomes.

Role requires NYS PT license or temporary permit, BLS/CPR, strong communication, and adherence to JACHO/CARF standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy required.
• New York State Physical Therapy License or temporary permit required.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• BLS/CPR certification required upon entry to the position.

Responsibilities

• Participates in Clinical Education of Fieldwork students and supervises students.
• Maintains patient care productivity as indicated by unit procedures.
• Performs initial assessment and evaluation of PT needs for assigned patient populations.
• Implements Treatment Plans and Protocols per current standards.
• Completes documentation for patient care and reimbursement.
