Job summary

NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital is seeking a Per Diem Physical Therapist to evaluate needs and deliver medically prescribed therapy in a supervised rehab program. The role covers Saturdays and Sundays with a varied schedule at NYU Langone Health in New York, NY.

The successful candidate will provide patient care, participate in clinical education, document care accurately, and collaborate with the rehabilitation team to meet functional goals and maintain high-quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy required.
• New York State Physical Therapy License or temporary permit required.
• BLS or CPR certification required on entry.

Responsibilities

• Participates in Clinical Education of Fieldwork students and other professional educational endeavors.
• Responsible for patient care productivity as indicated by unit procedures and productivity reports.
• Demonstrates continued proficiency in skills required to treat assigned patient population.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Initial Assessment and Evaluation of Physical Therapy needs for assigned patient populations; reviews medical chart and orders to determine the plan.
• Implements Treatment Plans according to standards; sets goals with patient/family; refers to other services as needed.
• Completes all required documentation for patient care and reimbursement with thorough clinical notes.
