Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant for home care. You will perform treatment, provide exercise instruction, and educate patients to improve well-being under a supervising Physical Therapist. Weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.
• CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to perform physical tasks required for patient care, including lifting, transferring, and assisting with mobility.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing physical therapy in home care and adhere to the supervising PT's plan of care.
• Instruct patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, and mobility training.
• Record and report patient responses and coordinate care with the health team.
• Educate patient, family, and caregivers on therapy within the PT assistant's scope.
• Function effectively in diverse home settings and with varied patient needs.
