Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a per diem Phlebotomist to join the Lab Administration team. The incumbent will perform daily blood draws, communicate across lab and nursing units, and rotate shifts as required to ensure timely specimen processing.

The position emphasizes patient care quality and adherence to safety regulations while supporting laboratory operations across multiple sites in Central Massachusetts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of a phlebotomy certificate program or medical assisting program, or hospital-based phlebotomy training.
• Previous phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood from patients daily, ensuring safe and accurate collection.
• Maintain open communication between laboratory, nursing units, and management.
• Rotate across shifts and sites as needed and perform duties deemed necessary by management.
