Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support IV admixtures, sterile compounding, and daily unit-dose operations. Qualifications

• Must know IV admixture processes and sterile procedures.
• Good math, computer and communication skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; PTCB certification or Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in preparation of irrigation, IV admixtures and other solutions using aseptic technique.
• Fills unit dose and ADM stock; maintains inventory in OR, Endo & OB.
• Delivers supplies and medications to nursing units; walks/stands for shift.
• Prepares medication labels subject to pharmacist final check.
• Prepares pre-packaged medications in common quantities.
• Performs cycle counts and cleans work areas.
