Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician on a per diem basis with a flexible schedule. The role supports the Pharmacist by filling orders for medications (oral, rectal, topical, injectable) and preparing IV admixtures using aseptic technique.

Licensed by the Nevada State Board of Pharmacy and PTCB certification are required; hospital experience is preferred. Benefits include medical plans, PTO, a 401(k) with match, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Licensed by the Nevada State Board of Pharmacy.
• PTCB certification required or preferred.
• Hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Pharmacist in providing medication, drug information and pharmaceutical services to patients, nurses, physicians and other hospital personnel.
• Prepares intravenous solutions and admixtures.
• Maintains inventory of supplies and reorders them accordingly.
• Processes records of medications and supplies dispensed to patients, computes charges and either enters them into the computer or forwards them to Information Systems.
