Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV seeks a per diem Pharmacy Technician to support the Pharmacist by filling orders for oral, topical, rectal and injectable medications and by preparing IV admixtures using aseptic technique.

Licensed by the Nevada State Board of Pharmacy and PTCB certified, you will help with labeling, charging, and record-keeping, with hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed by the Nevada State Board of Pharmacy.
• PTCB certification is required for this role.
• Hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pharmacist by filling physician orders for medications (oral, rectal, topical, injectable).
• Prepare IV admixtures using aseptic technique in the Laminar Air Flow hood.
• Type labels, prepare and file charge slips; perform related duties and record-keeping.
