Job summary

Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, CA, seeks a Pharmacy Technician for a per diem role with rotating 8-hour shifts. You will assist licensed pharmacists and help deliver safe, effective pharmaceutical services.

Responsibilities include IV medication prep, chemo/TPN handling, drug distribution, inventory control, and input of patient data into the order-entry system, while upholding safety policies.

Qualifications

• CA Pharmacy Technician Registration is required.
• At least 1 year hospital pharmacy experience or completion of an accredited technician program.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrate good command of basic mathematical calculations.

Responsibilities

• Support drug distribution processes under supervision of licensed pharmacists.
• Maintain professional relationships with colleagues and care providers.
• Assist with inventory control and purchase orders.
• Prepare IV medications and parenteral nutrition per guidelines.
• Input patient data and medication orders into the system.
• Adhere to safety policies for sterile compounding.
• Provide customer service to patients and health care practitioners.
• Assist with chemos/caustic therapies per protocol.
