Qualifications

• Preferred: Nevada Pharmacy Technician certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and delivers medications pursuant to physician’s orders after being processed by a pharmacist.
• Maintains compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Maintains adequate stock of medications and supplies.
• Contributes to the effective operations of the department.
• Participates in the quality improvement activities of the department.

This position is eligible for a $3,000 Sign On Bonus

Bargaining Unit: EA

Rate of Pay: $35.33/hour + DOE (Base Pay of $31.41includes 12.5% per diem premium)

Summary Pharmacy technicians assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records. Pharmacy technicians work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist.
