Job summary

Genoa Healthcare seeks a Per Diem Pharmacist to perform professional duties and responsibilities related to processing prescriptions. This intermittent position supports multiple Genoa sites in Iowa, with typical hours Monday–Friday, and travel up to 50%.

The role requires a Pharm D or BS Pharmacy, an active IA pharmacist license, and immunizer certification or willingness to become certified within 3 months. Travel and driving are required, with a comprehensive benefits package offered.

Qualifications

• BS Pharmacy or Pharm D is required.
• Current pharmacist's license in IA.
• Certified immunizer or willingness to become one within 3 months of hire.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Distributes drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners.
• Provides information to customers about medications and their use.
• Focuses on providing a superior level of customer service.
• Ensures compliance with all relevant laws of the applicable State Board of Pharmacy.
• Administration of immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy.
• Any other usual and customary pharmacy duties.
• Travel up to 50%.
