Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum, seeks a Per Diem Pharmacist to perform professional duties associated with prescription processing. Pharmacists will work on an intermittent, per‑diem basis across Brooklyn and Jackson Heights with potential coverage on Long Island.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–6:00pm, with no nights, weekends, or holidays. Requirements include a PharmD/Pharmacy degree, NY license, and immunizer certification or plan to obtain within 3 months. Competitive pay with benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD required.
• Current pharmacist license in the state of New York required.
• Certified immunizer or willing to become one within 3 months of hire.
• Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Distributes drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners.
• Provides information to customers about medications and their use.
• Focuses on providing a superior level of customer service.
• Ensures compliance with all relevant laws of the State Board of Pharmacy.
• Administration of immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy.
• Performs other usual and customary pharmacy duties.
