Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts in Hampton Roads, Virginia. Choose your own schedule with shifts from 7a-7p and 7p-7a, and enjoy the freedom to pick up the hours that fit your life.

You’ll provide high-quality patient care in acute-care hospital settings, with competitive per diem pay, daily and weekly pay options, and a locally owned staffing team.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• AHA BLS Current and ACLS Current certifications.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test completed.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.

• Active
• Virginia RN LicenseMinimum
