Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking an experienced PCU RN to support hospital units on a per diem basis in Virginia. You will monitor patients, administer medications, document care, and collaborate with physicians and care teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Shifts are 7a-7p or 7p-7a with flexible scheduling, daily and weekly pay options, and no minimum commitment. Active VA RN license and BLS/ACLS are required, with current TB testing and vaccination compliance.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years PCU nursing experience in past 4 years.
• Current BLS and ACLS from American Heart Association.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions in PCU.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and status changes.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educate patients and families on care and discharge plans.
• Adapt to different hospital units as needed.
