Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU RNs for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. Shifts available include 7a-7p and 7p-7a, giving you the freedom to choose when you work.

As a PCU RN, you will provide high-quality patient care in acute-care settings, monitor cardiac rhythms, administer medications, and document care in the EMR. You control your schedule, pick up the shifts that fit your life, and receive competitive pay with daily or weekly options.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License
• 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
• AHA BLS current
• AHA ACLS current
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments
