Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is hiring PCU RNs for per diem hospital shifts. Shifts available are 7a-7p and 7p-7a, with the freedom to pick up shifts that fit your life and schedule. Per diem pay is competitive, and daily or weekly pay options are available.

Active Virginia RN license and 2 years of recent PCU experience required, along with BLS/ACLS, and TB test within 12 months. COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption is also required. Ready to join FCN and control your schedule?

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License is required.
• 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• AHA BLS Current.
• AHA ACLS Current.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
