First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is hiring experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. Shifts are 7a-7p and 7p-7a, offering flexible scheduling and the freedom to pick the hours that fit your life.

Choose your own schedule, enjoy competitive per diem pay, daily or weekly pay options, and a responsive local team. Active Virginia RN license, 2 years PCU experience, and BLS/ACLS are required.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license
• 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
• AHA BLS Current
• AHA ACLS Current
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments
