Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU RNs for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. You pick shifts that fit your life, with options for daily and weekly pay and flexible scheduling.

Shifts are 7a-7p or 7p-7a. Requirements include VA RN license, BLS and ACLS, and recent PCU experience. Per diem pay ranges from $56.25–$57.25 per hour, with opportunities to build a larger schedule.

Qualifications

• Active VA RN license required.
• Current BLS/ACLS certifications.
• Two years of recent PCU nursing experience within past four years.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test completed.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• As a PCU RN, provide high-quality patient care in acute-care environments.
• Monitor patient conditions and cardiac rhythms; document changes.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and infection-control standards.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge steps.
• Adapt to different hospital units and environments.

• Active
• Virginia RN LicenseMinimum
• 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 yearsCurrent
