Orthopaedic Associates of Michigan (OAM) is seeking a Registration Intern for per diem shifts in Grand Rapids, MI. You will greet patients, collect information, and ensure a smooth start to each visit while supporting front desk operations.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate or current student pursuing a healthcare-related degree.
• Minimum typing speed of 45 words per minute.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors upon arrival.
• Collect patient information and ensure forms are completed.
• Assist patients in scheduling follow-up appointments.
• Explain charges and financial policies to patients.
• Collect copayments and post payments.
• Enter charges using ICD-9 and CPT codes and post to patient accounts.
• Answer and transfer phone calls.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and OAM guidelines.
• Maintain an organized workspace and assist management as needed.
